"Par for the Corpse" by Craig Sodaro.

Synopsis: At an exclusive golf resort, pro golfer, Teddy Masters is ready to help guests perfect their swings.  When Joy Draper of dating service Harmonosity takes a crew of singles to the resort, one of her clients turns up dead.  It's a good thing that Joy's assistant, Sybil, has had two classes of criminology at the local college!  The storm has taken out the bridge and everyone is tuck at the resort until it can be repaired.  This mystery-comedy will test your investigative skills...if you can stop laughing long enough to think!  Performances will be April 30 and May 1.

Auditions will be February 24 and 25, 5:00 - 7:30 PM at the Junior High.  Students should plan to be there on time and stay until auditions are concluded.  The cast is 8 females and 5 males.  We will also need 2 stage managers that are available for all rehearsals. Students need to sign up for an audition night and pick up auditions forms in the office starting February 17th.  These forms MUST BE
COMPLETED AND SIGNED PRIOR TO AUDITION!  Packets will include a tentative rehearsal schedule.  Larger roles will require a larger time commitment from the student than other parts.  We try to work around other activities as much as possible, but as we get closer to the performance date, all cast members must be present on a regular basis. Students must be in "Good standing" academically and behaviorally to audition and continue to maintain that status throughout March and April.

This program is an introduction to theater.  While we have a great deal of fun, we take the work seriously from an educational standpoint. Students learn a great deal about the profession besides acting. Stage craft, promotion, lighting, sound, and appreciation of theater are also components of our project.

Crew sign ups will be at a later date.  Crew commitments require less time, but of course are quite important to a well run production.  I will send you more info on crews before sign up.

Auditions for the Junior High Spring Play will be February 24 and 25 from 5 - 7 PM.  Students will need to pick up audition permission forms in the office and sign up for a night.  These will be in the office the week prior to auditions.  No one can audition without the forms signed by a parent or guardian.

Students must be and remain on good academic standing throughout February, March and April.
